Help grow your sustainability project or idea with a Green Fee Mini-Grant or Sustainable Campus Research Award.
Green Fee Mini-Grants
Bemidji State University students or student groups can apply for a grant, up to $500, which promotes sustainability on campus. Priority will be given to applications that fall within four target areas. Applications will be evaluated by the Green Team.
Sustainable Campus Research and Community Engagement Award
As part of the ongoing partnership between BSU and Otter Tail Power Company to promote energy conservation and renewable energy, Otter Tail made a major contribution to bring the endowment level high enough that earnings can now be distributed to support student awards. An award up to $800 will be awarded annually to returning BSU undergraduate or graduate student(s). These awards will be based on contributions to the campus and/or broader community through research and/or civic engagement related to sustainability.
Amik Award
The Amik (Beaver) Award is granted annually to an individual, organization, or group that exemplifies Bemidji State University’s Shared Fundamental Value of environmental stewardship. Selection is made by a committee of members from the Sustainability Office, Environmental Advisory Committee, Center for Sustainability Studies, and Students for the Environment club. Award recipients are announced at the Feast of Green, held every spring.
