Academic Resources to Share with Students
Check the tutoring options on campus, and schedule a time with a writing consultant at the Writing Resource Center. The A.C. Clark Library invites you to meet with a librarian using their online appointment scheduler. The Advising Center also has resources for students with disabilities and helps first-year students transition to college academics through the First Year Experience seminars.
Dropping or Withdrawing from Classes
Students do not need permission from their academic advisor to drop or withdraw from a class prior to the deadlines.
- Dropping a class happens very early in the semester (the first week of classes in the spring and fall)
- Withdrawing happens after the drop period but before the class-specific withdrawal deadline.
Students should refer to e-Services -> Courses & Registration -> View/Modify Schedule to make any changes (drop or withdraw), and to find the withdrawal deadline for each class.
Disability Disclosure
To be admitted to Bemidji State University, all students, including those with or without disabilities, must meet the minimum qualifications for admission. Applicants with documented disabilities are granted equal consideration and are not required to identify their disabilities during the application process. Students may choose to disclose their disability at any time during their academic career at BSU, but they are not required to do so. Accessibility Services is home to information regarding this process.
