Eleven Bemidji State University chemistry, business administration and marketing communications students and faculty traveled to Eau Claire, Wisconsin to attend the National Conference on Undergraduate Research at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire campus April 13-15.
Coordinated by the Council on Undergraduate Research, the annual conference brings together student presenters from education higher institutions across the country and from all disciplines to provide unique learning and networking opportunities. The first conference was in 1987.
Eight BSU students presented original research at the conference. They also networked with fellow students, met with employers and graduate schools, learned more about research methodologies, saw artistic performances and enjoyed other activities in the Eau Claire community.

The studies were supervised by Drs. Rachel Hellmann Whitaker and Katie Peterson, associate professors of chemistry, and Dr. Kelly La Venture, associate professor of business administration and NCUR campus coordinator.
