Dr. Ana López-Aguilera, assistant professor of Spanish at Bemidji State University, and Dr. Adriana Gordillo, professor of Spanish at Minnesota State University Mankato, published the anthology Mujeres y Naturaleza.
The book includes a collection of texts by Latina, Latin American and Spanish female authors that address environmental issues and the discussed link between women and nature. The texts are accompanied by a series of questions to analyze and discuss topics such as maternity, sexuality, equality or pacifism. The book received a New Faculty Scholarship Award from BSU and is available as an open educational resource online as part of the Minnesota Libraries Publishing Project.
Mujeres y Naturaleza is a product of the the MinnState World Languages & Cultures Alliance (WLCA), a collaboration between Bemidji State University, Minnesota State University Mankato, North Hennepin Community College, St. Cloud State University and Winona State University.
