Parable Patty Wins Gold

Technology Art and Design student senior Mara Halvorson won a Gold Addy Award in the student division of the film, video, sound and cinematography category from the American Advertising Federation of Central Minnesota. Halvorson submitted her character Parable Patty and was judged in the local level of the contest.

She created Parable Patty for Lutheran Church of the Good Shepard that was looking for more engagement from their kids in their online worship services. Halvorson was able to create her character with Adobe Character Animate by watching YouTube video tutorials. The church loved her character and adopted it into their vacation bible school. As a recipient of the award her entry will go on to be judged in the district level of the competition which begins March 25th. The winners will be announced April 1st and will continue onto the national level of the competition.
