Bemidji State University’s Dr. Miriam Rivera-Hokanson, associate professor of languages and Indigenous studies, organized and hosted a series of events in observance of Día de los Muertos, Day of the Dead, on Nov. 1 and 2. In conjunction with Concordia Language Villages, Rivera-Hokanson gave multiple presentations about the Día de los Muertos and taught students how to create various crafts.
