Business Professor Veaux Featured For Amplifying the Voices of Indigenous People

Bemidji State University Assistant Professor of Business Administration Veronica Veaux was featured in the 2019 Native Governance Center’s Impact Report. The publication celebrates the work of more than 175 indigenous change-makers from 22 native nations.

Veaux was one of nine stories featured in the program’s ten-year milestone edition to amplify the voices of Indigenous people leading grassroots change movements. The Native Governance Center’s two-year Native Nation Rebuilders program teaches indigenous leaders how to use their skill sets to help strengthen their communities. Veaux credits the program for inspiring her to develop an Indigenous Business curriculum at BSU.

“I personally believe that business is the way that we’re going to see an uplift of our communities,” Veaux said.
