On April 15, the United Way is seeking 50 volunteers to prepare boxed meals for Ruby’s Pantry and load the meals into vehicles for distribution. This is a three-hour volunteer opportunity at the Sanford Center, beginning at 2:30 p.m. and ending at 5:30 p.m. For consistency and efficiency, the United Way prefers that volunteers be available for the entire three-hour shift so time is not lost by integrating new people into a workflow. However, they will allow shift changes.
Ruby’s Pantry volunteers are typically people who are older or considered to be vulnerable populations with regard to COVID-19, so additional support from the community is greatly needed for this activity. Bemidji State and NTC have committed to providing as many of the 50 needed volunteers as possible.
To volunteer — complete the Ruby’s Pantry Volunteer Signup Form online before April 8, 2020. Volunteers must click the check mark that says “I’m with a group” and enter “BSU April Volunteers.”
