Bemidji State University’s Dr. Donna Pawlowski, professor of communication studies, and Dr. John Perlich, associate professor of communication studies, presented their work at the 2019 Communication Theater Association of Minnesota conference, held in St. Cloud, Minn. on Sept. 13-14.
Pawlowski and Perlich shared their teaching ideas as part of the Great Ideas for Teaching Speech (GIFTS) series. Additionally, Pawlowski presented her work in program development for the BSU Communication Studies department.

The Communication Theater Association of Minnesota (CTAM) provides a unique support system for all communication and theater teachers representing small and large schools, from elementary, middle and high schools to universities.
CTAM is a non-profit, umbrella organization that combines many Minnesota groups, including Minnesota Debate Teachers’ Association, Minnesota Speech Coaches’ Association, Minnesota Educational Theatre Association, Minnesota Collegiate Forensics Association.
