Bemidji State University invited Bemidji and the surrounding community residents to join faculty, staff, administrators and students on campus Aug. 29 for its 14th annual Community Appreciation Day.
The event featured dozens of booths from various campus departments, local businesses and organizations, along with a variety of games for children, a bounce house and BSU washable tattoos. Student-athletes from BSU’s varsity intercollegiate athletics programs also led games and activities for kids and “Meet the Beavers” sessions. Community Appreciation Day again featured “A Taste of BSU”, a free sampling of food items from local restaurants and organizations.
This year’s food and beverage sponsors include Aramark, Big River Scoop, Culver’s, Harmony Natural Foods Co-op, Lueken’s Deli & Grill, Jimmy Johns, Minnesota Nice Cafe & Catering, Mediterranean Gyros & Hummus, Nei Bottling, Paul Bunyan Broadcasting, RP Broadcasting, Sanford Center, Subway and Tara/Slurp.
