A community-wide discussion on the connection between women and labor with BSU faculty, staff and community members was held on Monday, March 25. Panelists included Maria Eastman, library technician, Liz Letson, Eagle Vista Ranch & Wellness Center counselor, Dr. Tiffany Holmes, BSU professor of nursing, Jo Li, BSU Northstar Visiting Scholars Academy coordinator and Dr. Veronica Veaux, BSU assistant professor of business administration.
Moderated by Colleen Deel, BSU interlibrary loan and collection management librarian, panelists were asked the following questions:
- How do you think about or define labor?
- Do you see any unique or stark connections between the terms women and labor?
- What are some of the difficulties you’ve felt or see in separating your personal and professional lives?
Panelists were additionally asked to speak on gendered labor issues as they see and experience them today.
