Bemidji State’s Department of Music Presents Brass Quintet Concert on Nov. 29

BSU Brass Quintet, November 29 at 7:30 p.m.Bemidji State University’s Department of Music will present their brass quintet concert at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 29.

The group is made up of five members: Alexander Burkel, a senior from Badger, Minn. on trumpet; Dana Petty, a senior from Milaca, Minn. on trumpet; Levi Espeseth, a senior from Merrifield, Minn. on bass trombone; Noah Harstad, a senior from Fertile, Minn. on trombone; and Eve Sumsky on the French horn.

The brass quintet is directed by Dr. Del Lyren, professor of high brass and jazz at Bemidji State, and will feature pieces by composers Victor Ewald, George Gershwin and Jack Gale throughout the performance.

The concert will be in the Main Theater of the Bangsberg Fine Arts Complex. Admission is free and open to the public.
