Bemidji State University’s Department of Music held its annual Carl O. Thompson Memorial Scholarship Concert on Oct. 7 to wrap up the celebrations of homecoming weekend. The Carl O. Thompson Memorial Scholarship is awarded to two senior music students each year during the concert.

The 2018-19 vocal scholarship recipient is Kari Norheim, soprano, a senior from Alexandria, Minn., who is majoring in music. The instrumental scholarship recipient is Levi Espeseth, bass trombone, a senior from Merrifield, Minn., who is also majoring in music. Norheim and Espeseth will also be featured soloists at the concert.
