Bemidji State University invited residents of Bemidji and the surrounding communities to join faculty, staff, administrators and students on campus Aug. 30 for its 13th annual Community Appreciation Day.
Dozens of booths from various campus departments and activities and local businesses and organizations, along with a variety of games for children, balloons and face painting, were available throughout the evening. Student-athletes from BSU’s varsity intercollegiate athletics programs also lead games and activities for kids and “Meet the Beavers” sessions. Community Appreciation Day again featured the “A Taste of BSU”, a free sampling of food items from local restaurants and organizations.
