Bemidji Pioneer: Student Achievement Day held at BSU

BEMIDJI—Bemidji State University undergraduates showed off their work at the school’s annual Student Achievement Conference on Wednesday.

The conference featured about 150 projects and presentations by 300 students, staff there said, and was tied together with the theme “A Century of Inspiration” to mark the 100th anniversary of the building now called Deputy Hall.

Head of UX research sciences at YouTube Robert Youmans was scheduled to speak, but canceled his appearance after a shooting at the YouTube headquarters Tuesday.

BSU and Northwest Technical College President Faith Hensrud and Travis Ricks, a psychology professor and conference organizer, filled in for Youmans.
