BEMIDJI — BSU’s online bachelor’s degree program in criminal justice has been recognized as one of the nation’s best by the website College Choice.
The site ranked Bemidji State’s program seventh on its list of the 50 “Best Online Criminal Justice Degrees.”
BSU’s online criminal justice degree program is designed to prepare students for careers in a wide variety of areas in the criminal justice field, such as law enforcement, lawyers, probation officers, youth counselors and more, a release said.
Graduates of the program are equipped with knowledge about the nature and causes of crime and delinquency, understanding of the law, law enforcement, corrections, courts, and victims and victim services in American society, the release said.
The school also offers two minor areas of study, in criminal justice and fraud examination, in addition to an on-campus bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Additionally, majors can focus their study further with an emphasis in law enforcement, corrections, victimology or tribal justice.
