Bemidji State’s Council of Indian Students provided a free meal for Bemidji’s homeless residents Nov. 2 as one of the kickoff activities for Native American Heritage Month. It is the third consecutive year BSU’s students have coordinated and provided the meal.
Students from the Department of Nursing and campus staff volunteered to support the dinner.
The menu included fry bread, pork roast, mashed potatoes, carrots, celery, green beans, wild rice and pears. Ice cream and brownies were available for dessert.
