Sandra Anderson ’82 is chief legal officer for Great Clips, Inc. Anderson’s more than 25 years of experience in franchising enrich her legal experience in counseling Great Clips, Inc. regarding franchising issues. Anderson joined Great Clips in 2000, and was promoted from vice president and general counsel to chief legal officer in 2011. She earned a bachelor of arts in English from BSU in 1982 and juris doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law in 1987. Anderson is being honored in 2015 as a BSU Outstanding Alumni Award recipient.
Randy Millard ’71 graduated cum laude from BSU with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. In 1975, he earned a law degree from William Mitchell College of Law and started the firm of Grossman & Millard with offices in Minneapolis and Detroit. The firm concentrated on labor and employment law representing corporate clients, and Millard practiced both domestically and internationally. He left the practice of law in 2000 and accepted his current position with Compañía Electro Metalúrgica S.A., a Chilean corporation, which does business in the steel, shipping, multi-media, wine making and publishing.
Melissa Jacobsen ’04 majored in political science, Spanish, and international studies before attending William Mitchell College of Law. She was hired as an assistant attorney in Carver County’s juvenile division in 2008, where she primarily handled child protection and juvenile delinquency matters. She has been an assistant attorney in Meeker County since 2012, where she covers a wide variety of case types including child protection, juvenile delinquency, criminal, commitments, guardianships and conservatorships and child support.
