Minnesota’s manufacturers are invited to be part of the Dream It. Do It. Statewide Tour of Manufacturing on Oct. 23-25. Across the state, businesses open their doors for tours to close out Minnesota Manufacturers’ Week.
The Statewide Tour of Manufacturing provides businesses the opportunity to open their doors to showcase modern manufacturing and products made in Minnesota, including snowmobiles, airplane parts, military technology, baseball bats, wooden toys and medical devices.
Manufacturing is the backbone of Minnesota’s economy. According to the Department of Employment and Economic Development, manufacturing is the state’s third largest industry and impacts over 30% of Minnesota jobs.
Manufacturers interested in participating can go to tourofmanufacturingmn.com or contact Sandy Kashmark, (800) 654-5773, midwest@runestone.net, to learn more and sign up to participate. There is no fee for manufacturers to participate in the statewide tour. After registering online, manufacturers will receive a toolkit to help promote their event.
The Dream It. Do It. Statewide Tour of Manufacturing is led by the 360° Manufacturing and Applied Engineering ATE Regional Center of Excellence. It is supported by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, Minnesota Manufacturers’ Association, Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association, Arrowhead Manufacturers and Fabricators Association and Tri-State Manufacturers’ Association.
