Students living in Bemidji State University’s residence halls will once again be in costume to frighten and entertain the children of Bemidji during BSU’s annual trick-or-treating event, Oct. 31.
Residence Hall Trick-or-Treating
Student-hosted indoor trick-or-treating will take place in a number of residence halls on the Bemidji State campus Thursday, Oct. 31, from 5-7 p.m. Residents of Oak, Pine, Tamarack and Linden halls will be participating.
The front desk of each participating hall will have a listing of rooms open for trick-or-treaters; participating rooms will also have an orange door tag to indicate that they are giving out candy. Many floors are decorated in Halloween themes for the event, and many students participate in costumes of their own. Some specific activities in this year’s halls include:
• the BSU Department of Athletics and Beaver sports teams hosting games and giving away treats in Oak Hall’s second-floor lounge;
• a costume contest in Pine Hall;
• a mini-carnival on the 12th floor of Tamarack Hall; and
• games on the first-floor lobby in Linden Hall.
Visitors to Birch Hall will be able to vote for their favorite pumpkins decorated by hall residents.
