Coming later this fall, faculty will be able to submit leave requests via the Web.
The electronic leave reporting process currently known as eTimesheet is being redesigned to enable faculty members to electronically report leave. This Time and Leave Reporting Project will allow all leave-eligible faculty members (IFO and MSCF) to use a new web-based application to submit leave requests and view leave balances and activity. The Time and Leave Reporting application supports the current absence reporting workflow established at each college and university. The new application is expected to be released in November.
As a faculty member, you will see the following benefits:
· streamlined request process in which paper forms will no longer be used,
· access to leave balances at any time.
This project will also pave the way for future Time and Leave Reporting on mobile devices.
This application is being developed with a user-centered design approach that began with an employee survey of eTimesheet users. Several employees have participated in sessions testing screen prototypes to ensure they are easy to use and understand. Faculty input to application design has been and will continue to be invaluable to the redesign and implementation of this new functionality.
Development work for faculty to view their leave requests, and new functionality for faculty to view all of their leave activity has been completed. Work has begun to enable employees to request time off, and soon to follow will be development of functionality for supervisors to review and approve employees time reporting.
