Bemidji State University’s American Indian Resource Center will host its fifth annual scholarship golf tournament at Bemidji’s Castle Highlands golf course, Aug. 2.

The four-person Texas-style best-ball tournament begins with a 10 a.m. shotgun start; registration and pre-tournament games beginning at 8:30 a.m. The tournament carries a $400 entry fee per four-person team. The fee includes 18 holes of golf, carts for each team, lunch in the clubhouse and prizes for the winning teams.

The tournament will feature a variety of hole prizes, including closest to the pin on each Par 3, longest drive and longest putt made for both men and women.

The first place team wins $400, with second and third places taking home $300 and $200, respectively.

A portion of the proceeds from the tournament will go toward scholarships and retention initiatives for American Indian students at BSU.

Castle Highlands golf course is located in Turtle River, Minn., 10 miles north of Bemidji on Highway 71.
