Bemidji State University music major Jess Jacobson will perform her senior vocal recital April 20.
The recital will begin at 3 p.m. in Bemidji State’s Thompson Recital Hall in the Bangsberg Fine Arts Complex. The recital is free to the public.
The Coon Rapids native will be graduating in December with a bachelor’s degree in music education, vocal and classroom k-12, and minor in posychology.
Accompanied by Melanie Hanson, adjunct faculty in Bemidji State’s Department of Music, Jacobson will be performing musical pieces in Italian, French, German and English. The recital will feature compositions by George Frederic Handel, Giovanni Paisiello, Reynaldo Hahn, Emile Paladilhe, Déodat de Sévérac, Ernest Chausson, Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann, Hugo Wolf and Amy Beach.
