Bemidji State’s fourth annual Midwinter Interlude is scheduled for mid-February through the end of spring break.
The show is held in Bangsberg Hall’s Ramsey Gallery and features faculty and staff artwork, photography and other creative projects. The Midwinter Interlude started with 17 exhibitors in 2010 and last year had grown to 29 artists who contributed items for display.
The show includes artists of all levels, beginner to professional, and work is welcome whether it is newly produced or well traveled. The broad variety of work featured in the show has included items ranging from painting, woodworking, carving, jewelry, photography, knitting, textile art, crocheting, quilting, drawing, pottery, sculpture, fishing lures from beer bottle caps, music and rock polishing.
The Midwinter Interlude also has become popular with Bemidji community residents and has provided opportunities for faculty and staff to connect with potential customers and other artists in the area.
Faculty and staff interested in joining the exhibit or helping with a pre-show open house can contact Deb Krueger at 2345 or in Hagg-Sauer 389.
Please consider sharing your skills with others, or encourage your friends and colleagues with special talents or skills to contribute to the show.
