Hometown news: Six students on staff at Academic Technology Center

BEMIDJI, Minn. (Nov. 9, 2011) — Six Bemidji State University students are working in the University’s Academic Technology Center (ATC) during the 2011-2012 school year.

Under the supervision of Geri Olson, the Academic Technology Center is a resource center dedicated to helping students, staff and faculty with technology issues. The center staff manages more than 60 smart classrooms on the Bemidji State campus. Smart classrooms are equipped with overhead projectors, sound systems, computer connections and other classroom presentation technology.

The ATC also manages six interactive television sites on campus that are used to interact with remote sites such as Toronto, Ontario, Canada for BSU’s distance learning initiatives.

In addition, the ATC offers services such as equipment setup, video and digital media production, and presentation consultation.
