BEMIDJI, Minn. (Sept. 14, 2011) — Everyone wishes they could give public presentations like Apple’s Steve Jobs. Beginning Sept. 26, Optivation at Bemidji State University will start students down that path with a one-week online course in presentation skills.
The course, taught by Optivation graduate student Sudhir Kamath, will teach elements of successful presentations, explore some of the common pitfalls presenters are faced with and offer strategies for overcoming those pitfalls.
Kamath has worked as a software consultant and business analyst. He has a bachelor’s degree in software systems engineering and is pursuing a master’s degree in career and technical education at Bemidji State.
The course begins Monday, Sept. 26, and runs through Monday, Oct. 5, and carries a fee of $75. The expected time commitment is approximately five hours. Those interested in taking the course are asked to register before a Sept. 21 deadline.
