BEMIDJI, Minn. (Feb. 4, 2010) — The Outdoor Program Center at Bemidji State University has several activities scheduled for February, including a continuation of its weekly shuttle to the Buena Vista Ski Area, an ice-climbing trip to Gooseberry Falls on Feb. 6 and an introduction to cross-country skiing on Feb. 17.
Friday, Feb. 5; Friday, Feb. 12; Friday, Feb. 19
5-8 p.m. – Free shuttle to the Buena Vista Ski Area departs from the lobby of Bemidji State’s Gillett Recreation and Fitness Center at 5 p.m.; returns to the center at 8 p.m. Call (218) 755-2999 to confirm times.
Saturday, Feb. 6.
7 a.m. – 6 p.m. – Gooseberry Falls Ice Climbing – Climb the frozen waterfalls of Gooseberry State Park. All equipment included. Cost: $20.00.
Saturday, Feb. 13
noon – 3 p.m. – Giants Ridge Shuttle – Join the OPC crew for a day of skiing in Biwabik. Trip departs from the Gillett Recreation and Fitness Center on the BSU campus. Cost: $20.
Wednesday, Feb. 17
3-5 p.m. – Introduction to Cross-Country Skiing – Learn the basics of cross-country skiing. All equipment provided. Course meets at the Gillett Recreation and Fitness Center on the BSU campus. Cost: Free.
Monday, Feb. 22
Intro to Lead Climbing – 6-9 p.m. – All equipment provided. Course meets at the rock climbing wall in Bemidji State’s Gillett Recreation and Fitness Center. Cost: Free.
