BEMIDJI, Minn. (Jan. 4, 2010) — Area residents are invited to share their ideas regarding the preferred professional and leadership qualities of the next president of Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College. Public input will be sought at a guided discussion and listening session on Monday, Jan. 11 in Bemidji State’s Hobson Memorial Union. The session will begin at 7:30 a.m. in the lower union’s Ozawindib Room.
Dr. Jon E. Quistgaard, president of Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College, recently announced his retirement, effective this coming summer.
Assisting with the national search for the next BSU-NTC president are Dr. Kate Will and Howard Jessamy, representatives of the search firm Witt Kieffer. The discussion and listening session is part of a two-day visit to Bemidji for the pair, Jan. 11-12. During the visit, they will meet with various constituent groups including area residents.
