BEMIDJI, Minn. (Sept. 10, 2009) — Bemidji State University will be sponsoring Bike Bemidji, a free cycling event for area enthusiasts on Saturday, Sept. 12.
There are two registration points for the event. Bemidji State students register at Bemidji’s Diamond Point Park beginning at 8:30 a.m.; all other participants will register at the parking lot of the Union Square shopping area in downtown Bemidji, across from the waterfront, beginning at 9 a.m. The ride will take participants to Guthrie, Minn. along the new section of the Paul Bunyan Trail; participants are free to leave the ride and return home wherever they wish. Free t-shirts will be available to early registrants, and the event also includes a discounted sack lunch, community biking information and drawings following the ride, including a drawing for a new bicycle.
