Introductory rock climbing course set for March 18

BEMIDJI, Minn. —  Bemidji State University’s Outdoor Program Center will offer a free introductory rock climbing clinic on Wednesday, March 18.

Tailored to beginners, the rock climbing class offers instruction about knots, climbing equipment and basic climbing techniques. The class will be held from 6-9 p.m. at the rock climbing wall in the Gillett Recreation and Fitness Center on the Bemidji State campus and is open to the public.

The center will provide harnesses and climbing shoes. There is no recreation center admission charge for this class.

Those interested in the course are encouraged to call the Outdoor Programming Center in advance to confirm times.
