BEMIDJI, Minn. — Bemidji State University’s Outdoor Program Center will offer a course on building climbing anchors and provide a shuttle to Bemidji’s Buena Vista Ski Area in January. The climbing anchors course will be held Monday, Jan. 26, while the free shuttle to Buena Vista will be available Friday, Jan. 30.
• Climbing anchors course
The OPC will offer climbing enthusiasts a course to teach them how to build compact, strong and simple anchor systems. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own rope and rack; otherwise, the OPC will supply the needed materials for the course.
The climbing anchors course is free, and will be held at the rock climbing wall at the Gillett Recreation and Fitness Center from 6-9 p.m.
• Buena Vista ski area shuttle
The OPC will be offering a shuttle to Bemidji’s Buena Vista Ski Area on Friday, Jan. 30. The free shuttle will depart from the Gillett Recreation and Fitness Center on the Bemidji State campus at 5 p.m. and return at 8 p.m.
