BEMIDJI, Minn. — A Regional Employer Support Network (RESN) session intended to provide an opportunity for open networking and spontaneous round table discussion is scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at the Bemidji State University Center for Research and Innovation, located at 3801 Bemidji Avenue North.

Business owners, managers and personnel and human resources professionals are encouraged to bring along their questions, as they will determine the discussion topics for the entire session.

“This is a great opportunity for professionals who deal with personnel issues to tap into the knowledge that is available through others who deal with similar issues,” said Kerry Ross, CRI training coordinator, who will serve as facilitator.

The session will be appropriate for any business owners with staff and supervisors and human resource professionals from all types of organizations.

The Regional Employer Support Network was formed after employers in the region expressed the need for a network of professionals involved in human resources development and management. It usually meets the first Thursday of each month with regular sessions lasting two hours and quarterly sessions lasting longer. The sessions are open to anyone interested in learning more about the featured topic. CRI staff members help facilitate RESN activities, and organizations collaborating to support the group include North Country Health Services, North Country Business Products, Potlatch, Bi-CAP, Johanneson, Inc., Pinnacle Publishing and Anderson Fabrics.
