A total of 4,076 students — an increase of 4.2% over last year — were enrolled at Bemidji State on the 30th day of fall classes this year, giving the university its highest fall enrollment since 2021. The 4-percent increase also marked BSU’s first increase in fall enrollment over the previous year since 2017.
The 30th day of fall classes — which this year fell on Oct. 7 — is the official fall census date used by all Minnesota State colleges and universities.
BSU’s 2024 student body hails from 43 different states, and with 23 students sharing the name, Grace is the most popular first name amongst our students.
