About Areanna

My name is Areanna DeRungs, and I am a senior at Bemidji State University. I am majoring in Technology, Art, and Design with an emphasis in Illustration and Digital Animation. I’m planning to focus on a career in graphic design, where I can apply my skills in visual communication and creative problem-solving. Alongside that, I’ll be pursuing freelance illustration work to continue developing my personal style and artistic voice. My ultimate goal is to break into the gaming industry as a character designer, combining storytelling and visual design to bring unique characters to life.

Presentation Description

Today, I will be presenting three projects. First is a series of Greek mythology illustrations inspired by the Art Nouveau movement. The second project is a concept for an emergency response app developed for the Red Cross, designed to educate users on essential first aid practices. Lastly, I will present an animated showcase highlighting the visual design and storytelling elements of the video game Hades by Supergiant Games.
