Lisa C. Kuriger (née Radintz) knew she wanted to be an attorney as young as the ninth grade. She came to BSU as a transfer student from the twin cities her sophomore year. In 2004, she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Political Science. Following graduation, Lisa obtained a paralegal certificate through the Minnesota School of Business and began working for the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office in the Child Protection Division. Through the nine years she worked in child protection, she continued to pursue her dream of becoming an attorney. She was able to enroll at Mitchell-Hamline School of Law in their weekend program. She worked full-time during the week and attended classes in the evenings and weekends. She graduated from Mitchell-Hamline in 2019 and initially worked for the workers’ compensation defense firm, Fitch, Johnson, Larson & Held. She is currently a staff attorney at the Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals.
