CITI Certification
The IRB has mandated that any BSU/NTC student, faculty and staff who will conduct human/non-human research must complete, and include in the proposal packet, a Certificate of Completion of the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI). All BSU faculty and staff who act as a sponsor/advisor must also provide a Certificate of Completion.
- This training is FREE to students, faculty and staff.
- CITI Program Instructions are available for your use.
- The student will only need to take the training once while attending BSU.
- Faculty and staff will need to re-take the training every three years.
- At anytime, you can return to the CITI website to check on your certification status by utilizing the login that you initially created.
CITI currently offers full support for four browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari. Site users will need to have IE 8 or later, or use a current version of Chrome, Firefox or Safari.
Previous NIH Certification
If you completed the training with NIH previously, you would not need to retake the training; however, you would need to provide a Certificate of Completion.
Once the previous NIH certification expires, complete the CITI Certification.
