North Hennepin Community College Partnership
For students in the Minneapolis/St. Paul region, we offer a program where students enroll at North Hennepin Community College for their first two years on-campus and graduate with an associate of arts in biology. They can then transfer to Bemidji State’s bachelor of science in biology program and participate both online and on-campus at NHCC.
A Bemidji State biology faculty is embedded at NHCC and teaches biology courses for both degrees. For more information on this program, visit Bemidji State’s Center for Extended Learning.
Biology B.A.
Specific course requirements for Bemidji State’s bachelor of arts in biology are minimal, thus allowing the student considerable flexibility in selecting courses to satisfy their career goals.
Although the program provides for a diverse background in biology, the student should augment the major with a minor in one of the sciences or use the major to complement another major area of study.
