Environmental Studies offers scholarships to students who have demonstrated academic excellence.
To be eligible for all scholarships at BSU, fill out the Foundation Scholarship Application before Feb 1st.
Charles Fuchsman Scholarship- $500
Criteria: Sophomore, junior or senior who is majoring in Environmental Studies with minimum 3.25 GPA.
Enbridge Energy Scholarship- $1,000
Criteria: For junior or senior majors in Biology, Geology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Studies or Pre-Professional fields. This is a rotating scholarship.
G.S. Droba Science Scholarship
Criteria: To a full-time undergraduate student majoring in Engineering Physics who meet the academic requirements. If an Engineering Physics degree is not currently available, it may provide an award to majors in Biology, Aquatic Biology, Marine Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science/Geography, Environmental Science or Physics. Awarded to Chemistry for 21/22.
Harold T. Peters Scholarship – $500
Criteria: Sophomore, junior, or senior with 3.0 GPA and majoring in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Studies, Nursing, Math or Computer Science. $500 to award to each of the following departments: Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Studies, Nursing, Math/Computer Science.
Harry Melby Science Scholarship
Criteria: Junior or senior majoring in Biology, Geology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Studies or a Pre-Professional field.
Henderson, Patton, Jones Memorial Scholarship
Criteria: Junior or senior majoring in Biology, Geology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Studies or a Pre-Professional field.
KDAL-KDAG Fishing Fund Scholarship-$200
Criteria: Sophomore, junior or senior Environmental Studies Major with 3.25 or greater GPA.
National Renewable Solutions, LLC, Environmental Studies Scholarship Fund-$1000
Criteria: Recipient shall be a junior or senior majoring in Environmental Studies with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Robert and Jeanette Welle Scholarship-$2,800
Criteria: An incoming freshman majoring in Environmental Studies each year, with 4 year renewal based on academic performance.
Spry Environmental Science Scholarship
Criteria: Junior or senior American Indian student majoring in Biology, Aquatic Biology or Environmental Studies major with a minimum GPA of 2.5
STEM Scholarship
Award: Up to $15,000 per year for up to 5 years to cover the full cost of attendance (tuition, fees, housing, meals, etc.).
Criteria: Student enrolled at least half-time with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Must be Pell-eligible.
Welle Scholarship
Criteria: $1,400 to a Freshman and $1,400 to a sophomore.
